Crazy Horse — 2010

Crazy Horse (b.1845 - 1877) earned his reputation as a warrior among the Lakota not only by demonstrating heroic skill and bravery during battle, but also by his gutsy determination to preserve his traditional Indian culture. Crazy Horse was known among his people as a farsighted chief, committed to safeguarding the tradition and principles of the Sioux (Lakota) way of life. For example, Crazy Horse refused to allow anyone to take his photograph.
